Sunday 21st August 2016 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The day started off with a walk to Princes Street, where we popped in past Starbucks for an iced coffee. The weather had completely changed from the wet drizzly day on the Saturday to sunshine and 17 degrees!
We headed along to the big ferris wheel along the street. Despite having a fear of heights I agreed to go on with my friends – on the condition no one spun the carriage around! Thankfully I was distracted enough looking at the views that I didn’t look down and notice how high up we were!
We then made a quick visit to the National Museum of Scotland, I’m hoping next time I’m down in Edinburgh I’ll have more time for a look around as I think S (and A) would love it!
We then headed to St Andrew’s Square in search of food and cider!
There were plenty of food stalls to choose from and I ended up opting for crispy salty fries with molten cheese sauce and bacon bits from Cargo Spud: Potato Heaven.
After picking up some food we headed into the gardens for a drink and to chill out in the sunshine!
Before heading back to the hostel to pick up our cases before catching the train home I had to pick up some cupcakes from the Mimi’s Bakehouse stand, as no trip to Edinburgh is complete without a cake from Mimi’s!
I opted for a strawberry dream cupcake and a sticky toffee pudding cupcake which managed to stay in one piece on the trip home! The sticky toffee cupcake was amazing! It tasted just like sticky toffee pudding!
After heading back to the hostel we then took a taxi to the train station and two and a half hours later we were home! Hopefully we will make it back to the Fringe Festival for more shows next year!
That was our second day at the fringe festival, if you want to see what we got up to on day one then check out Part 1!
