Last Tuesday, 19th July 2016, we were lucky enough to go along to Thaikhun in Union Sq Aberdeen to check out their new kids menu.

image

Their new kids menu has 3 courses for £5.95. This includes a starter of vegetable sticks, choice of main course, ice lolly or ice cream for dessert and juice, water or milk to drink. They also come with free creepy crawlies – which S loved!

We opted for the Mix & Match Thai Tray for S choosing the plain noodles, grilled chicken and sweet BBQ sauce. S’ food came along as soon as it was ready which is fab for impatient children.

I loved how it all came separated out as I think this is fab for fussy eaters as it means they can have as little or as much of the sauce as they wish or keep the noodles plain.

For starters I had Por Pia Tod Spring Rolls (chicken spring rolls) and A had Ka Nom Jeeb (steamed pork and prawn dumplings)

For mains I had Khao Mun Gai Tod (fried chicken with coconut rice) and A had Kao Soi Gai (curried chicken soup with crispy noodles).

When I ordered the meal I wasn’t sure what the coconut rice would taste like, but it was delicious and this is definitely a meal I would order again. A said that his meal was also delicious and surprised at the deceptive portion size – so much more food than it looked.

Overall we loved the meals, there is a wide selection of food on the main menu and the kids menu allows them to pick and chose what they would like. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be popping back again for another meal and highly recommend visiting!

Our main meals were complimentary in exchange for a review, but all opinions are my own and unbiased.
