July 15 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm BST
Bajan British artist Christina Peake’s vibrant and immersive installation and accompanying online works combine environmental awareness and cultural narratives in a vivid and playful way. This July, she takes over the Barn’s performance space with entirely new work which fuses Bajan-rooted storytelling, Doric ballads with wider themes of Caribbean and Scottish diaspora.
Peake will use everyday materials such as recycled fabric, from tartan offcuts to African prints to create Gettin’s House, a sort of children’s playhouse embedded within a coral reef. Alongside the installation, you can download artworks, podcasts and take home activity packs, all exploring the themes and ideas in the project.
Please note 1 ticket will admit up to a maximum of 6 people.
