Dawn at Donmouth

Description: Come and join the Countryside Rangers to watch sunrise over the Donmouth Local Nature Reserve.  While we are there we’ll keep an eye out for a variety of wildlife including otters and seals plus a great variety of birds that make use of this lovely site.

Meet outside the bird hide on the Esplanade.  First Buses 1 & 2 go to the Bridge of Don.

Regarding experience. Over the last 14 years of my dance career I have performed both at social and competitive level. My achievements have included reaching the Championship Finals and 3 semi-finals, winner of numerous Grand Prix Tournaments, and finalist in multiple International Open World tournaments. I was lead dance instructor at Lubin Castle Dance School, who I represented in all competitions. For the last year my studies have included social and functional dance for children in Aberdeen and am about to pilot wedding dance venues.

The Sorries – A family evening of Scottish Songs & Stories

Description: The Sorries are Douglas Kay (vocals, guitar, mandolin, bodhran) and Martin Philip (vocals, guitar, tres cubano, bodhran).  Inspired by a love of The Corries, they will perform a range of the traditional songs which made that duo so popular, along with a number of other pieces from the Scottish songbook and a few comic numbers about Scotland in the modern world.

Doors will open at 18:30. The evening will include a short interval when we will draw a raffle. We anticipate the evening will finish at 21:00. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments. Description: Chill Skills is aimed at young people from approximately 11 years old to 15. The first Chill Skills block will be delivered in 4 weekly 1 hour sessions. Each week we will focus on a different topic and we will be working through our own personal Journals.

Chill Skills is great for young people who would like to improve; self-esteem, emotional intelligence, better results, confidence, focus, positive outlook and resilience.

Chill Skills come with lots free complimentary resources that can be used to support the learning at home. Parents can get involved and use the homework as an opportunity to talk with their child (if the young person is willing to share). Young people have a higher chance of creating positive habits if family buys-in  to the techniques taught in the sessions.
