Silent Squirrel Spotting Safari

Description: The red squirrel is the UK’s only native squirrel species and was once a common sight across all of mainland Britain but now is mainly found in Scotland.
Join us on a journey to try and find signs of the red squirrel population in Hazlehead. Perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to see one of the squirrels!
Meet at the West Chapel Hazlehead Crematorium car park. First Bus 11 goes to Queen’s Road or Stagecoach X17 to Skene Road.
Ideal for (quiet!) adults and older children. This event is free but donations to the Ranger Service are greatly appreciated.

Macbi and Boozy Events have joined up to organise a Boozy Pop Bingo night of the 22nd of September!!
For those that are wondering what Boozy Pop Bingo is – Basically the bingo prizes will be lovely cocktails made by Boozy Events (Slush, Ice Cream & Sweets for the kids) and the Pop means that instead of a bingo number caller – we will be playing a short blast of music as a number. You will be given a list of 90 songs along with your bingo book and each song will have a bingo number which you will mark off once played! We will have a bar (license permitting) and nibbles included in ticket price.
Tickets are now on sale at Macbi Community Hub and cannot be reserved.

Feel free to bring your stretchy wrap from the Scottish Baby Box as we’d love to give you a hand.
There will be trained baby carrying advice from Jess Hippey, owner of Close and Calm, and a large selection of carriers and wraps available for trying and for hiring. Should you wish to go on to buy a carrier after this, please inform Jess as discount codes are available for customers.
We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees. Children are always welcome.
We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter present at most meetings.
We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch and look forward to meeting you. Our hope is to try and build an informative and supportive community so the more the merrier.
You’re also always welcome to bring your own carriers for help too.
