“Sound Day” At The Haven

Description: A Day of Sound during Stonehavens Folk Festival, with something for everyone. Sound kids, Sound Healing and Choir Singing.

The day shall start @ 10 am with a family session of Sound Kids, This class is  valuable for your childs development in the same way that physical movement is. A fun class using instruments, voices, song and sounds before a relaxing Sound Bath for the whole family. £11 one adult+one child.

At 11.30 am Carma will be joined by Dave Pazdziorek for an hour and 30 minutes of Sound Healing. A perfect blend of Sound Bowls and Drums. The first sound you heard was your mothers heartbeat whilst in the womb and for most of us, this must have been the ultimate comfort zone. We want, deep down, to return to that level of stability. One aspect of drumming is to facilitate this feeling and return you to a relaxed state. the Drum is a true healing tool. The Tibetan Singing Bowls, Gong, Koshi chimes and Rain sticks will all be played during this session, you shall allow the body and mind to rest and be still to absorb the sounds and vibrations of these magical Healing tools. A calming, mindful experience for all , with many health benefits experienced by most.

(apologies due to the high frequency of this class, it is not suitable for pregnancy or pace maker wearers). £18pp

This shall be followed by “The Mearns Singers Community Choir” who mainly perform Capella.(2pm til 3 pm) They shall be singing songs old and new from all over the world. They shall also share folk songs from Stonehaven, America and Africa. They are kindly donating there time for free and all entries to support this wonderful group shall be on a donation basis with all monies raised going direct to the Haven Wellbeing Fund. Outdoor Family Yoga Session

 Date:  Friday 19th July 2019 Time:  04:00PM-05:00PM

Description: I am super excited to take my Family Yoga Sessions outdoors, in the glorious surroundings of Haddo Country Park.

These Family Yoga Sessions are open to ALL! Children, Parents, Grandparents, Cousins, Aunties and Uncle’s – you name it!

The sessions are designed to develop family connection, positive communication and to have fun! You will learn effective techniques that you can then implement in your own home. And, of course you will also have the added benefits of spending time outdoors!

What to expect:

*Fun Games

*Mindfulness and Meditation

*Yoga and Partner Yoga

*Breathing Exercises

If you have your own mat, please bring it along. However, I will have plenty of yoga mats with me. The session is weather permitting. I will give as much notice as possible regarding cancellation and will rearrange for another date. Fingers crossed we get some sunshine!

The session will take place in the grass area opposite The Pheasantry. If possible, please try to arrive at least 15/20 minutes early to give yourself some time to walk down from the car park to The Pheasantry.
