Scottish Home Show 2016

CLAN Landmark Walk 2016

Description: The CLAN Landmark Walk is a sponsored 13 or 7.8 mile walk which takes in various sights around Aberdeen.  The walk starts and finishes in Westburn Park where we will also have entertainment for all the family to enjoy.

Description: The popular water slide returns as one of the attractions on In Town Without My Car Day.

Once again as part of European Mobility Week we are closing Schoolhill, Belmont Street, Gaelic Lane and Little Belmont Street to traffic and filling all that road space with a variety of free, family friendly activities.

You can find out more about public transport, responsible car use, cycling, walking at our information stalls.

Activities will include:
• Aberdeen Science Centre hands-on experiments which you can try at home and you can experience stepping inside a giant bubble
• Watch the Aberdeen University Circus Skills Society demonstrating their juggling and performance skills throughout the day
• Look out for all shapes of bikes including a Penny Farthing and unicycle

Sunday Playtime

Where: Haddo House, EllonAB41 7EQ

Price: £2 per child, adults free.

Description: Let your kids go wild with an old-fashioned morning of fun, creative play at Haddo. Build a fort, make mud pies, create your own games, it’s all up to you!

We’ll provide a whole selection of play items from logs, sticks, ropes, blankets, balls, water trays, craft items, nature kits and a dressing up box. We’ve got outdoor space if it’s sunny, and room indoors if it’s raining. You just need to bring energy, imagination and some clothes you don’t mind getting muddy!

Discover the intricacies of different animal houses in nature with Rose Toney of the Hutton Institute and try your hand at the Tales of Iona game, led by a ‘spooky’ monk who guides gamers through learning challenges.
