Bridge of Don Baby Carrier Drop In Session – January

Where: St. Columba’s Church of Scotland, Braehead Way, Bridge of Don, AB22 8RR

Date: Friday 20th January 2017
Time: 9.15am – 10.30am

Price: £2 entry fee to cover room hire etc

Description: We’re really looking forward to our monthly baby carrier / sling meet in Bridge of Don! This will be held one Friday morning a month, from 9:15 – 10:30 at St. Columba’s Church, Braehead Way, Bridge of Don.

There will be trained baby carrying advice from Jess Hippey, owner of Close and Calm, and a sling library with a large selection of rentals available. Should you wish to go on to buy a carrier after this, please inform Jess as discount codes are available for customers.

We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees but will serve you tea, coffee and yummy cakes in exchange. Children , partners and family are welcome, and there is an unsupervised creche area available.

We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter Lynn Miller present at most meetings, as we recognise advice and support for this is often needed too 🙂

We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch and look forward to meeting you. Our hope is to try and build an informative and supportive community so the more the merrier.

Big Garden Birdwatch

Where: Haddo House & Country Park, Ellon, Aberdeenshire AB41 7EQ

Date: Sunday 22nd January 2017
Time: 10.00am – 3.00pm

Price: Free drop in event, no need to book.

Description: Come meet RSPB Aberdeen and North East Scotland at Haddo and enjoy some family-friendly wildlife activities.

See what birds you can spot, learn the names of some new ones and find out how you can aid wildlife conservation by taking part in this year’s Big Garden Birdwatch.

You can even make your own pine cone bird feeder to take home!

Early Engineering – Introduction to Programming , Electronics & Robotics (January – March 17 Term)

Where: Monday’s – Mackie Academy (Stonehaven), Tuesday’s – Cults Academy, Wednesday’s – Portlethen Academy, Thursday’s Mearns Academy (Laurencekirk), Friday’s – Inverurie Academy

Description:  These sessions are actual hands-on building with electronics and programming using Aruino Technology, we provide specially designed Early Engineering kit boxes for the sessions.

The early engineers will learn about electronics, programming and robotics!

After graduating from the Intro level course pupils can then enrol for the intermediate sessions where upon succesful graduation they can enter the EARLY ENGINEERING ROBOT COMBAT!

These sessions are suitable for children aged 8 to 17.

No previous experience necessary as we cover everything.
Note: These are open sessions that anyone can attend, these are not school specific.

Description:  Join us for a day of prehistoric discovery as we explore everything about dinosaurs!

Little Explorer Days offer fun, hands-on science based activities that encourage learning through play and are suited for little scientists aged 3-5 years. Each Little Explorer Day workshop lasts approximately 30 minutes and is supported by related activity tables on the Exhibition Floor.

Inverurie Baby Carrier Drop In Session

Where: St Andrews Church, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire

Date: Friday 27th January 2017
Time: 1.00pm – 2.30pm

Price: A £2 entry fee per family will help us cover room hire costs.

Description:  After many walks around Inverurie in the rain, we’re delighted to have secured a new larger venue, with car parking and disabled access.

We’ll be meeting at St Andrew’s Church Hall at the earlier time of 1-2:30pm

As we have to vacate the hall by 2:30pm last hires will be at 2:15.

A £2 entry fee per family will help us cover room hire costs.

With this move to a new place we’d love to have a few more volunteers to give us a hand – please get in touch if you’re able!

SensationAll’s Fundraising Burns Night Ceilidh

Where: Ashdale Hall, Westhill
